About the position

As a Landscape Designer/Architect at Glengate, you will have a unique opportunity to join an award-winning residential landscape design team. This role is pivotal to our firm's success, where you will engage in a variety of tasks that include preparing site analysis and plan documents, leading regulatory research on projects, and collaborating with a talented team on innovative design concepts. You will also be responsible for leading design detailing work on projects, preparing presentation drawings, and supporting client communication throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will create construction documents for large, high-end residential projects, ensuring that every detail aligns with our commitment to excellence in design. We are looking for a creative and self-motivated individual who possesses a strong sense of design and aesthetics. You should be eager to learn and contribute quickly, with a keen eye for detail and organization. The fast-paced environment at Glengate requires solid verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp. A foundational knowledge of grading, drainage, and horticulture is also essential. This position is ideal for someone with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Landscape Architecture or a related field, along with 3 to 5 years of experience in a landscape architecture or design studio. Requirements

  • Strong command of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficient with hand graphics and rendering skills
  • Base knowledge of grading, drainage, and horticulture
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves
