About the position

The Landscape Design, Sales & Project Coordinator at Alt's Operation is a full-time role focused on driving landscape projects from conception to completion. This position requires a blend of landscape design expertise, project coordination skills, and client interaction to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and construction teams, utilizing advanced design software and effective communication to bring visions to life.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with local clients to understand their project goals and scope and maintain communication throughout the design build process.
  • Gather detailed site measurements and analysis to assist in design creation.
  • Develop thoughtful landscape designs, project proposals and construction plans.
  • Present design ideas to clients with a thorough knowledge of materials and construction techniques, detailed communication, and impactful visual graphics and architectural drawings.
  • Perform project coordination tasks such as material procurement, scheduling, logistics, site visits, etc. to ensure efficient and successful landscape construction.
  • Work closely with landscape construction teams in the field to ensure projects are implemented as per the design and proposals' intentions and clients' expectations.
  • Maintain existing and continue to grow client base by the means of completing successful projects, representing the company's values and other direct marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in preparing landscape design deliverables, proposal creation, project coordination and direct client interaction/sales.
  • Proficient using design and layout software such as: SketchUp, CAD, Adobe InDesign (or similar).
  • Ability to work effectively in an independent and a collaborative team environment.
  • Impeccable communication, interpersonal and leadership skills including the ability to communicate graphically, written and verbally.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of landscape design and construction.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture or a closely related field.
  • Wisconsin Landscape Architecture license and/or American Institute of Certified Planners status.
