About The Position

Landscape Collaborative has been designing, installing and maintaining some of the finest residential gardens in metro-Boston for 35+ years. We are currently looking for a landscape designer with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in high-end residential design. A successful landscape designer is interested in all aspects of the construction industry from the preliminary client consultation, design process, budgeting and implementation. High attention to detail both on-site and in-office and a refined aesthetic are necessary. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of landscape architecture principles and have the ability to design aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their vision, creating detailed designs, and ensuring that projects are executed according to specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketchup.
  • Hand drawing skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • A passion for creating thoughtful and horticulturally nuanced landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to determine their landscaping needs and preferences.
  • Develop innovative landscape designs using CAD software and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Draft detailed plans that include plant selection, irrigation systems, and hardscape features.
  • Conduct land surveying to assess site conditions and constraints.
  • Prepare presentations for clients that effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Coordinate with contractors and other professionals during the construction phase to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance design quality.
