About the position

Myatt Landscaping and Construction is seeking an experienced Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing both residential and commercial landscapes, incorporating various elements such as gas, plumbing, and electrical components. The role emphasizes exceptional listening and creative skills to translate client ideas into high-quality landscape designs, aligning with the company's reputation for superior services.

Responsibilities

• Design landscape projects for residential and commercial clients.
• Incorporate gas, plumbing, and electrical components into designs.
• Produce existing site plans, demolition plans, site and materials plans, grading and draining plans, landscape plans, lighting plans, and details and elevations.
• Create 3D models and renderings for larger projects.
• Communicate continually with clients, colleagues, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Design or Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 6-8 years of experience in a landscape design role.
• Strong knowledge of landscape design and construction practices.
• Deep understanding of municipal and building codes/regulations.
• Experience with municipal submissions/review processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and hand-drawing skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong decision-making ability.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing with water and fire features, pools, outdoor kitchens, fences, and outdoor structures.
• Ability to create lighting, irrigation, drainage, and hardscaping designs.
