The Landscape Laborer position involves assisting in various landscaping tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of clients' properties. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions, contributing to the maintenance and care of landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, and trimming.
- Assist in landscape maintenance tasks including planting, weeding, and mulching.
- Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and other landscaping features.
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of gardens and lawns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment used on-site.
- Participate in snow plowing during winter months as needed.
- Build garden beds and other landscape structures as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices and landscape maintenance techniques is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge for operating landscaping equipment is beneficial.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new tasks.
- Valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
