About the position

The Landscape Maintenance / Snow & Ice Management Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and production schedules for landscape maintenance and snow management teams. This hands-on managerial role requires effective project management skills to ensure quality standards are met while managing a large number of locations and acres serviced weekly. The position also involves managing self-performance and subcontracted operations during winter months, ensuring safety and compliance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and manages all field production activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintains a complete understanding of all contractual obligations and executes to meet such obligations.
  • Works between divisions to maximize and leverage company-wide personnel, equipment, and other resources.
  • Maintains a safe working environment and enforces all safety standards, protocols, and regulations.
  • Assists in hiring, firing, training, and developing high-performing work teams.
  • Supports and participates in the development, implementation, and refinement of departmental best practices in all areas of field operations and safety.
  • Proactively identifies potential problems within production and finds resolutions to minimize damage/risk or create unforeseen opportunities for gain.
  • Supports sales and marketing initiatives with solid production knowledge or service.
  • Identifies opportunities for enhancements or upgrades.
  • Provides and maintains excellent customer service in accordance with the company's customer service delivery model.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years' experience working on a commercial landscape maintenance crew.
  • Minimum three years as a crew leader or foreman performing commercial landscape maintenance.
  • Minimum of four years' experience performing commercial or industrial snow removal.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • General aptitude for business management, personnel management, and accounting.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and possess good organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & Aspire software.
  • Must have a Class C driver's license and DOT medical card.
  • Must obtain Advanced Snow Manager (ASM) certification within 3 months of hire date.
  • Must obtain Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP1) certification within 6 months of hire date.
