About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscaping practices. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and healthy.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance of lawns, gardens, and landscapes, including mowing, trimming, and edging.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Assist in the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Dig and prepare soil for planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify any issues or areas needing attention.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing basic mechanical checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling tools.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of groundskeeping techniques and best practices.
• Proficiency in using power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in landscaping tasks.
• Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Experience in lawn care practices including fertilization, aeration, and pest control.
• Ability to perform hardscape installations with attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to dig, lift, and stand for extended periods while working outdoors.
• A keen eye for design to enhance the aesthetic appeal of landscapes.
