About the position
The Langlade County 4-H Program Educator plays a vital role within the UW-Madison Division of Extension, focusing on improving lives and communities through research-based education. This position is responsible for leading a county-based 4-H program, which includes program administration, volunteer management, and education and youth advocacy. The educator will engage with over 24,000 youth members and 8,000 adult volunteers, fostering positive youth development and expanding access to 4-H opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the county 4-H program focused on expanding membership and ensuring quality experiences.
- Ensure all programs align with the purpose, vision, and values of the Wisconsin 4-H program.
- Cultivate partnerships with other organizations to enhance 4-H programming opportunities.
- Supervise staff and volunteers delivering 4-H programming.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive 4-H volunteer development and management system.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to volunteers in program delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, or a related field.
- Experience in program administration and volunteer management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
