About the position

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator at Lanier Technical College is responsible for managing and implementing the Dual Enrollment program across the college's service delivery area, primarily focusing on Hall County. This role involves collaboration with high school administrators and counselors to facilitate college enrollment opportunities for high school students, ensuring they can earn industry-recognized credentials or degrees. The coordinator will also track program data, provide advisement, and maintain communication with students and parents regarding the program offerings and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage all aspects of the Dual Enrollment program.
  • Coordinate with state, secondary, and postsecondary instructional leadership.
  • Track data for Dual Enrollment completion and graduation.
  • Serve as the liaison to high school administrators, counselors, and CTAE Directors.
  • Maintain up-to-date written procedures for the Dual Enrollment program.
  • Coordinate registration and withdrawal processes for students in the program.
  • Provide information to potential students and parents about the Dual Enrollment offerings.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and counselors regarding the program.
  • Coordinate course offerings and needs with college academics and high school partners.
  • Provide advisement and registration of students in the dual enrollment program using the BANNER system.
  • Review and set up CRM communication for Dual Enrollment students.
  • Coordinate communication regarding admissions procedures and funding for Dual Enrollment students.
  • Assist in coordinating textbook processes with the Campus Bookstore and Dual Enrollment students.
  • Serve as a liaison with educational, industrial, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Two years of work experience in a secondary (K-12) or post-secondary education environment.
  • Knowledge of college admission and financial aid guidelines and procedures.
  • Understanding of high school and college calendars, registration, and graduation requirements.
  • Skill in operating computers and job-related software programs.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and dealing with the public.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to all high schools within the service delivery area.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business, education, or a closely related field.
  • More than two years of work experience in a secondary or post-secondary education environment.
  • Experience in admissions counseling in an education environment.
  • Previous work experience with a student information system, such as Banner, and a CRM such as Target X.
  • Previous work experience with dual-enrollment programs.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) language skills.
