About the position

The Large Bank Internal Audit Manager at Crowe is a temporary position within the Consulting Financial Services practice, focusing on providing risk management, internal audit, and internal control services to clients in the banking industry. The role emphasizes transforming governance, embedding risk in decision-making, and maintaining compliance, while fostering an entrepreneurial and innovative environment for delivering consulting services.

Responsibilities

• Providing risk management, internal audit, and internal control services to clients in the banking industry.
• Assisting in planning and managing staff on engagements, including reviewing staff workpapers and providing feedback and guidance to staff.
• Conducting fieldwork, preparing workpapers to support conclusions, discussing findings and observations with management, and preparing written reports of various types and formats.
• Providing clients with advice to improve and optimize internal controls, enhance and transform internal audit approaches and methodologies, and performing risk assessments.
• Offering value-added recommendations to clients and improving the firm's services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Business, or Economics with an Accounting Minor or emphasis.
• 5+ years of experience in internal audit, internal controls assessment, and/or Sox 404 evaluation and testing.
• Exposure to larger financial institutions ($5 billion and up) preferred.
• Experience supervising and reviewing the work of others, and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in various formats and settings.
• Understanding of internal control design and effectiveness, business process flow, GAAP financial accounting, and SEC Reporting.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuing these certifications is a plus.
