About the position
The Resolution Specialist position within the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships (DRR) is responsible for identifying and monitoring resolution risks in large insured depository institutions (LIDI). The role involves performing financial and operational analyses related to complex financial institutions, developing resolution strategies, and collaborating with various regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and effective resolution processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor resolution risks in a portfolio of LIDIs, identifying potential issues related to resolution and receivership.
- Design and propose written resolution strategies for LIDIs or other large financial institutions.
- Provide support with pre-closing logistical issues between various regulatory agencies.
- Serve as a liaison to other functional areas of DRR.
- Conduct outreach to new and existing CIDIs and relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with regulators and financial institutions.
Requirements
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the 13-grade level in the Federal service.
- Experience in identifying and monitoring financial, operational, or resolution risks in large financial institutions.
- Experience in developing written reports of banking risks and trends or strategies to resolve failing institutions.
- Experience in preparing or evaluating bank resolution submissions required by Federal regulations.
- Experience in collaborating with Federal and State banking authorities on operational, examination, or resolution matters.
