About the position

The Fluid Systems Engineer 1 role at GE Renewable Energy focuses on the design, analysis, and evaluation of mechanical components related to control, fuel, and hydraulic systems in large military engines. The engineer will work within the fluid systems group, applying sound engineering principles to solve problems, support manufacturing, and enhance product design while adhering to business standards and program requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles.
  • Support the design and development of products, solutions, and systems within the fluid systems group.
  • Investigate fuel system field issues and provide manufacturing support.
  • Contribute to the technical improvement of existing products and components.
  • Develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an engineering position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with pumps, actuators, or valves.
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Complex component, module, or systems level analysis and/or hardware expertise.
  • Passionate about receiving mentorship.
