About the position
The Large Mill/Turn Lathe Operator position at Johnson Centrifugal Technology involves operating a 5-axis CNC machine in a family-owned foundry specializing in centrifugal casting. This role offers opportunities for advancement and growth, with a focus on quality and safety in a supportive work environment. The position features a 4-day work week with optional overtime on Fridays, and no weekend work is required.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 5-axis CNC machine for centrifugal casting.
- Perform full inspection of machined parts.
- Read and interpret GT&D prints.
- Train on NX software as needed.
Requirements
- Experience operating CNC machines, specifically large mill/turn lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints.
- Willingness to learn NX software.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with centrifugal casting processes.
- Familiarity with quality control standards in manufacturing.
