About the position
Argos USA Concrete Ready Mix is seeking dedicated CDLA or CDL B Local ReadyMix Concrete Truck Drivers to join our team in Largo, FL. As a driver, you will be responsible for delivering loads to customers in the greater Largo area, contributing to a variety of projects ranging from residential homes to major commercial infrastructures. The role requires drivers to live within 25 miles of Largo, FL, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient service. Compensation is structured on a Pay By Load basis, starting at $52 per load, with an average of 18-25 loads per week. The starting rate is based on experience, with potential increases after six months of employment. Additionally, drivers are guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours per week and will transition to Pay by Load after 60 days of employment. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid CDL A or CDL B license, and have a clean driving record. Responsibilities
- Deliver loads to customers in the greater Largo, FL area.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of concrete to various construction sites.
- Complete required paperwork for each delivery.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Operate assigned trucks safely and efficiently.
- Lift extension chutes and other items weighing between 25 and 45 pounds as needed.
- Work flexible hours based on customer demands, including potential overtime and weekends.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid CDL A or CDL B license.
- Must have 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to drive manual transmission required.
- Must have a clean MVR and no DUIs within the last 3 years.
- No suspensions in the last 30 days.
- No substance abuse violations in the last 3 years.
- Must not be restricted from driving at night.
- Must be able to lift extension chutes and other items weighing between 25 and 45 pounds, at least 30 percent of the time.
- Must be able to work irregular hours depending on customer demands (may average 12 - 14 hours a day, with 1 day at 16 hours during busy season).
- Must be registered with the FMCSA's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Must be able to successfully pass Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment drug test, DOT physical, MVR and national background screen, Agility Test.
