This position is essential for ensuring that blanks are created according to customer specifications while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. The operator will be responsible for reconciling coil identity with the production schedule, checking and recording various parameters such as gauge, width, hardness, camber, burr, and surface requirements to ensure compliance with both customer and production standards. In this role, the operator will program the laser, import part information, and check the laser heads to ensure optimal performance. The operator will also be tasked with threading the coil through the uncoiler, leveler/flattener, and feed unit, while continuously monitoring the condition of the blanks to ensure they meet the required specifications.
