About the position
The Laser Operator position involves working in a Steel Fabrication Company to manufacture quality products. The role requires operating laser cutting machines, ensuring quality control, and collaborating with a team to meet production goals. This is a temp-to-hire position with opportunities for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Enter all programming numbers into the lasers to perform correct cuts
- Load and unload materials onto lasers
- Observe laser cutting quality and machine cutting conditions and make adjustments as necessary
- Verify cut parts to ensure quality and specifications meet customer expectations
- Unload all steel deliveries from vendor trucks
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Capable of lifting 40 pounds independently
- Team player willing to assist in other areas as needed
- Ability to work 8-12 hour days depending on production needs
