Responsibilities

  • Collecting on and managing a portfolio of 91+ delinquent accounts.
  • Monetizing equipment and locating assets for the purposes of sales to offset losses.
  • Achieving delinquency and loss goals.
  • Involved with early-stage repossessions, equipment sales, remarketing, valuations, and working with Asset management.
  • Partnering with business and sales leaders to define business problems related to collections issues and minimizing losses.
  • Serving as key resource and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all collection items related to late-stage collections.
  • Managing assigned portfolio and loss metrics and internal SLA's to budgeted levels.
  • Assisting VP of Collections with management of potential Late-Stage charge-off population.
  • Providing timely and proactive forecasting and delinquency review to the VP.
  • Identifying new Late-Stage contact development strategies and efficiencies.
  • Collaborating with Credit, Sales, Operations on implementation of strategy and treatment programs.
  • Participating in monthly Loss Mitigation Meetings and Suspicious Activity reviews with Credit.
  • Monitoring portfolio, prioritizing calls, updating leadership on relevant developments, and ensuring productivity matches goals.
  • Ensuring individual Delinquency objectives are understood and all activity is aligned to achieve corporate goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business/finance or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of financial services collections experience with 3 or more as a late-stage agent specializing in equipment repossessions, remarketing, asset valuations, and asset sales.
  • High-volume B to B collection environment exposure focusing on monetizing equipment, getting customers current, creating payment plans, and skip tracking.
  • Understanding of equipment leasing terminology and documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau, Salesforce, Infolease, and advanced skills in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Customer service orientation and ability to build a customer service-oriented culture within the late-stage team.
  • Creative thinker and contributor to developing and deploying collections strategies.
  • Excellent analysis skills to review metrics, results, and recommend changes.
  • Strong prioritization and execution skills.
  • Process improvement skills using process improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Technical aptitude with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly organized and meticulous with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and people skills.
