The Latino Construction Program (LCP) Career Coach plays a vital role in the Spanish American Committee (SAC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Cleveland community since 1966. The primary goal of the Career Coach is to educate and motivate participants in the Latino Construction Program, ensuring their successful transition into job placement and sustainable employment. This position involves a comprehensive approach to career coaching, focusing on helping clients identify their strengths and capabilities while guiding them toward achieving their career goals and maintaining job retention. As a Career Coach, you will manage the coordination of program cohorts from inception to completion. This includes sourcing, vetting, and recruiting clients for the program, preparing logistics for training sessions, and maintaining continuous communication with participants. You will also be responsible for the smooth rollout and completion of each cohort, ensuring that all participants receive the necessary support and training. In addition to managing program logistics, the Career Coach will provide ongoing training in essential areas such as job readiness, career identification, and case management. This role requires a proactive approach to building partnerships with hiring managers to understand their recruiting needs and develop effective strategies for client placement. You will also conduct assessments, monitor job retention, and assist clients in overcoming barriers to success by referring them to in-house services as needed.
