About the position

The Launch Engineer for Spacecraft Integration at SpaceX plays a crucial role in supporting the integration of Starlink satellites and customer payloads. This position involves developing and executing procedures for the integration and checkout of spacecraft, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and managing multiple priorities to ensure project goals are met. The engineer will also be responsible for addressing non-conformances and driving system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for Starlink satellite integration and customer payload integration.
• Develop and execute procedures for the integration and checkout of Starlink satellites and commercial/government spacecraft.
• Collaborate closely with engineering staff and technicians on a daily basis.
• Manage and track multiple priorities while maintaining focus on project goals.
• Drive non-conformances into actionable items and implement system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with multi-disciplinary system assemblies, including aerospace vehicles, automotive, aircraft, or marine assemblies.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft integration.
• Experience in operations in 100,000 class or better clean rooms.
• Familiarity with test operations involving gases/fluids and data acquisition setup.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in writing test plans and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven environment.
• Professional experience testing and operating with hazardous systems.
