About the position
The Laundry Aide position at LakePointe Senior Care & Rehab involves managing the laundry needs of the facility, including collecting, sorting, washing, and delivering clean linen. This part-time role primarily operates during midnight shifts and is essential for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness within the care environment.
Responsibilities
- Collect and sort soiled linen.
- Load and unload washing machines and dryers.
- Operate computer-operated washers and dryers according to operating procedures.
- Sort and fold clean linen accurately and in a timely manner.
- Deliver clean linen to assigned units using caution when pushing carts.
- Clean and sanitize the work area, including machines, worktables, and sorting areas.
Requirements
- At least 1+ years of experience in a long term care environment preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care.
