Laundry Aide

About the position

The Laundry Aide at Yona Solutions plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for residents. This position involves handling laundry operations, ensuring that linens and clothing are properly washed, dried, and distributed while providing excellent customer service to residents and their families. Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Folds clean, dry linen and places into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
