About the position
The Laundry Aide position at Aspire Senior Living of Moberly is a full-time role focused on maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents through the management of laundry services. The Laundry Aide will ensure that linens, clothing, and other laundry items are properly washed, dried, folded, and distributed, adhering to quality standards and health guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items including linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing
- Operate washing and drying machines according to manufacturer's instructions
- Inspect laundry for stains, damage, and repairs, notifying management when needed
- Ensure that all laundry items are properly stored and available as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including infection control policies
- Work collaboratively with other staff to support residents' comfort and well-being
Requirements
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred, especially in healthcare or long-term care settings
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and quality standards
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull laundry loads
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring attitude toward residents
