Responsibilities
- Performs day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department according to standards and regulations.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary facility with adequate linen supplies.
- Collects and sorts soiled laundry, linens, and garments.
- Separates items requiring special stain removal or treatment.
- Washes items following established procedures.
- Folds, counts, stacks, hangs, and distributes clean laundry and linens.
- Cleans floors and maintains a clean work area.
- Cleans walls and ceilings, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Uses cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and properly.
- Monitors laundry supplies and reports inventory levels to the supervisor.
- Reports equipment irregularities and malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Attends required training and staff meetings.
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
