About The Position

The Laundry Assistant at Solaris HealthCare Pensacola is responsible for performing various cleaning and laundry tasks to ensure a hygienic environment for residents and staff. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness of personal and facility laundry, adhering to health and safety standards, and supporting the overall well-being of residents.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in the Healthcare Industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and orderly manner in which resident laundry is handled.
• Pick up, launder, dry, and fold facility laundry including sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels, and washcloths.
• Pick up, launder, dry, fold, and hang residents' personal clothing, returning them to their rooms in an orderly manner.
• Clean and maintain laundry equipment according to facility maintenance programs and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, paying attention to surroundings while moving heavy laundry containers.
• Keep track of soiled, stained, and tattered items, reporting them to the Supervisor for removal and replacement.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling chemicals and dispose of them properly.
• Adhere to dress codes and maintain personal cleanliness.
