About the position

The Laundry Facility Manager at Vacasa is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations within a vacation rental facility. This role involves mentoring and training housekeepers, ensuring cleanliness standards are met, and assisting with various housekeeping tasks. The manager will also coordinate with local and central management teams to facilitate smooth operations and enhance guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring, training, and supporting a group of 4-5 housekeepers.
  • Corresponding regularly with the Local Operations Manager and Housekeeping Coordinators.
  • Ensuring housekeeping staff follow through on assignments and providing instructions regarding work methods and routines.
  • Performing regular inspections of cleans done by housekeepers.
  • Assisting with cleans as needed and maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Sorting, counting, and marking clean linens, and storing them in linen closets.
  • Replenishing and cleaning/laundering supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, and bathroom items.
  • Creating maintenance tickets for necessary repairs.
  • Covering for the Local Operations Manager when necessary.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience in housekeeping or facility management.
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping or facilities management.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
