About the position

The Law Clerk position at the Anoka County Attorney's Office offers law students a unique opportunity to expand their legal knowledge while performing meaningful work across various legal divisions. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate legal efforts for attorneys.
  • Write and review legal documents.
  • Maintain legal documentation database.
  • Schedule meetings and legal clinics.
  • Ensure necessary materials are prepared beforehand.
  • Conduct legal research and pull cases.
  • Proofread and cite-check briefs and other materials.
  • Assist with preparation and filing of court papers, depositions, interviews, hearings, and client meetings.
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital case files.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be a current student in good standing at an accredited law school.
  • Must be eligible for certification under Minnesota Supreme Court Student Practice Rules.
  • Successfully pass a criminal history background check which includes fingerprinting.
