The Probate Legal Assistant/Paralegal position is a vital role within our law firm, aimed at supporting attorneys in managing various probate court client matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting correspondence and pleadings, monitoring probate estates, and ensuring that all timelines are adhered to. This role requires effective communication with clients regarding the status of their probate and litigation matters, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong interpersonal skills. The position is available in both our Guntersville and Arab, Alabama offices, and candidates can apply for either or both locations. In addition to probate-specific tasks, the Probate Legal Assistant/Paralegal will also assist with general law office duties. This includes answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments, maintaining attorneys' calendars, and managing client files. The ability to multitask and adapt to various roles within the office is crucial. The firm emphasizes the importance of attention to detail, as the candidate will be handling sensitive legal documents and client information. A 90-day probationary period will be in place to assess the candidate's fit for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will have a background as a trained paralegal with experience in probate or litigation matters, or have worked in a similar capacity within an attorney's office.
