The Law Offices of Eric A. Shore in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a full-time Legal Clerk/Administrative Assistant. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the reception area, answer phone calls, direct queries, and maintain a welcoming, professional front-office environment.
  • Assist walk-in clients and vendors, including scanning documents and assisting walk-in clients with completing paperwork.
  • Answer incoming calls, address and forward calls, and voicemails, as appropriate.
  • Manage mail operations meticulously, including the receiving, sorting, scanning, and dispatching of incoming mail, together with the processing of outgoing correspondence.
  • Scan incoming faxes for all departments.
  • Engage in regular data entry, updating databases, and maintaining meticulous records to ensure flawless case file integrity.
  • Support legal staff with administrative tasks like drafting documents and preparing legal files for appointments and hearings.
  • Collect and transport sensitive legal documents with an understanding of confidentiality protocols and the utmost care.
  • Perform additional clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and filing.
  • Assist the Social Security Disability/Veterans Disability practice area with ordering medical records, case development, and engage in direct communication with clients and various federal administrations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in an office environment or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of Social Security/ Veterans Disability processes and procedures is a plus.
