About the position

The Lawn Maintenance Foreman at Weller Brothers Landscaping plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and maintenance of clients' lawns through a variety of services. This position encompasses responsibilities such as mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilization, all aimed at enhancing the functional and aesthetic value of the properties serviced. The foreman is expected to provide excellent client service, assisting clients promptly and courteously, answering questions, and providing necessary information. This role requires overseeing the maintenance crew, ensuring that all tasks are executed safely, timely, and efficiently. In addition to managing day-to-day crew tasks, the foreman will communicate professionally with clients, utilizing their knowledge of turfgrass and landscape industry practices to educate clients effectively. The position demands the ability to operate outdoor maintenance and power equipment, as well as a variety of hand tools, while legally operating a motor vehicle. The foreman must be willing to work in all weather conditions and perform moderately heavy physical labor daily. The foreman will assess daily tasks, set goals for the crew, and hold team members accountable for their productivity and adherence to company policies. This includes timely input of hours into LMN software for accurate payroll processing and maintaining a clean appearance in accordance with the company dress code. The foreman will also assist in maintaining all Weller Brothers equipment and may be required to help with snow removal during the winter season. Overall, this position is integral to fulfilling the mission of Weller Brothers Landscaping and ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day crew tasks including lawn mowing, power raking, landscape bed maintenance, spring and fall cleanups, and fall leaf removal.
• Ensure crew productivity and track progress on tasks.
• Communicate with clients in a professional manner and educate them about lawn care.
• Use outdoor maintenance and power equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform moderately heavy physical labor on a daily basis.
• Assess daily tasks and set goals for the crew.
• Hold crew members accountable for their productivity and adherence to policies.
• Input hours on LMN software for accurate payroll processing.
• Maintain a clean appearance and conform to the company dress code.
• Assist in maintaining all Weller Brothers equipment and help with snow removal during winter.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of professional lawn care experience.
• Minimum of two years of leadership experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required.
• Strong communication skills and superior work ethic.
• Ability to manage and train new team members.
• Detail-oriented with considerable attention to order and cleanliness.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
