About the position
Building a career at Granite may be the most valuable thing you could do. This entry-level position is responsible for providing assistance to Drillers on water well drilling projects. The role involves working closely with operators on various projects, operating and servicing trucks, backhoes, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps, and other types of equipment. You will be part of a crew but are also expected to work independently to accomplish tasks when required. Completing basic daily paperwork and driving as needed are also essential components of this position. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. A valid driver's license is required, and candidates should be able to obtain a minimum class B CDL, with a preference for class A. While prior experience is not mandatory as training will be provided, candidates with construction or related experience are preferred. The job requires working with equipment that vibrates and being near moving mechanical parts, necessitating adequate mechanical aptitude and basic math skills. Candidates must be willing to work long hours, including weekends, and be prepared to travel and spend extended periods away from home. The role requires outdoor work in extreme weather conditions, and dependability, reliability, honesty, and trustworthiness are essential traits. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with employees, customers, and vendors. Additionally, candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and fit for duty physical. Construction and welding experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to operators on projects

Requirements
