About the position

The LC&I Account Executive at NextEra Energy is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing a pipeline of new business opportunities in natural gas, power, and renewables within deregulated markets. This role requires building strong relationships with large commercial and industrial clients, implementing effective sales strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new natural gas, power and renewables business opportunities within deregulated markets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to uncover prospective clients and understand their energy needs.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales target goals.
  • Create customized proposals and presentations to showcase the value of NextEra Energy's energy solutions to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with large commercial and industrial clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape within deregulated markets.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on large commercial and industrial clients.
  • Extensive natural gas, power and renewable experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of deregulated energy markets and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
