About the position

The position involves providing quality services and products with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety. The role is based in Alexandria, Minnesota, and includes servicing, inspecting, and installing gas and electric appliances and HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with safety codes and delivering superior service. The employee will also maintain the gas distribution system and respond to emergency situations, all while promoting customer satisfaction and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in a safe manner at all times.
• Service, inspect, and install residential and commercial gas and electric appliances and HVAC equipment to comply with codes.
• Develop and maintain skill proficiency based on changes in products and technology.
• Maintain and repair the gas distribution system, including gas meters and regulators.
• Promote and sell Home Service Plus products and services to customers.
• Respond to emergency situations to ensure safe delivery of natural gas.
• Complete record keeping associated with appliance service and distribution functions.
• Operate company vehicle safely and maintain vehicle and parts inventory.
• Participate in training to increase job knowledge and competency.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a 1 or 2-year certificate, diploma, or associate degree program in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning without a technical degree.
