About the position

The LCSW Intake Coordinator Manager at Nuvance Health is a full-time role responsible for overseeing the Behavioral and Mental Healthcare department's patient evaluation and assessment services. This position requires a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to manage clinical staff and coordinate central intake functions, including inquiry calls, emergency room assessments, and medical unit consults. The role operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with some remote work options, providing a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the department's patient evaluation and assessment service.
• Manage clinical staff within the Behavioral and Mental Healthcare department.
• Coordinate all central intake functions, including inquiry calls and emergency room assessments.
• Conduct medical unit consults as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and discharge planning support.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school.
• Current CT Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in social work, particularly in crisis intervention and discharge planning.
• Experience in group work and central intake.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DSM-IV and mental health assessments.
• Familiarity with teaching hospital environments.
