About the position
The LCSW Intake Coordinator Manager at Nuvance Health is responsible for overseeing the Behavioral and Mental Healthcare department's patient evaluation and assessment services. This full-time position requires a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to manage clinical staff and coordinate central intake functions, including inquiry calls, emergency room assessments, and medical unit consults. The role operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with some remote work options.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of the department's patient evaluation and assessment service.
- Manage clinical staff within the Behavioral and Mental Healthcare department.
- Coordinate all central intake functions, including inquiry calls and emergency room assessments.
- Conduct medical unit consults as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention and discharge planning support.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Current CT Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social work, particularly in crisis intervention and discharge planning.
- Experience in group work and central intake processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with DSM-IV and related clinical assessments.
- Familiarity with teaching hospital environments.
