About the position

EPIC Health Partners is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist) to provide outpatient substance use services to adults aged 18-99 in Virginia. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining clinically appropriate services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders, under the supervision of the ARTS Program Director. The clinician will conduct assessments, provide counseling, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining a minimum caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general oversight of clinical service delivery including assessments, admissions, treatment plan development, and discharge planning.
  • Review progress notes and manage the process for new referrals, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and conduct ISP/Quarterly reviews.
  • Complete discharge summaries and maintain a minimum caseload for individual and group counseling.
  • Conduct and review assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, ensuring timely completion.
  • Submit service authorization requests to MCOs to express clinical necessity for services.
  • Participate in peer-to-peer reviews and collaborative sessions with individuals and CSACs.
  • Assist in oversight of record review processes to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Inform staff of changes in policy and procedures as needed.
  • Attend and participate in administrative and division committee meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Travel to other locations as required for job duties.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work or counseling from an accredited program.
  • Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the State of Virginia.
  • Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care and culturally competent practice.
  • Strong clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of addiction, trauma, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and relevant software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling preferred.
  • Training in CPR, First Aid, and Management of Aggressive Behavior.
