About the position
The LDAR Technician (NDEC Technician 3) position at Atlas involves performing fieldwork related to environmental compliance, specifically focusing on fugitive emission source inspections and LDAR tag ID inventory tasks. The role requires the use of gas detector instruments and adherence to EPA testing protocols, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The technician will work in various outdoor industrial environments, often in extreme weather conditions, and must be capable of physical tasks such as climbing and carrying equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform fieldwork utilizing gas detector instruments for fugitive emission source inspections.
- Conduct LDAR tag ID inventory tasks for compliance with environmental regulations.
- Utilize EPA testing protocols to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with customers to assist them in achieving their goals.
- Maintain high integrity and work ethics while performing duties.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of college education preferred but not required.
- Demonstration of high integrity and work ethics.
- Ability to pass a rigorous background check and drug test.
- Previous LDAR experience or experience in petrochemical facilities preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Average to strong skill level in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Critical thinking skills to interpret regulations and solve problems.
- Customer service skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with OGI and M21 preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical skills or being mechanically inclined.
