About the position
The Assembly Line Lead at Smith System Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the assembly line operations, ensuring that production schedules are met efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and teamwork, aligning with the company's core values of servant leadership and ethical behavior.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the company’s continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing project initiatives.
- Manage the effective placement of people, use of materials and equipment to meet the quality and production objectives of a production line and the work cells in it.
- Participate in plant cleanliness initiatives.
- Learn every job on the line and all the component fits and features.
- Train and/or retrain every job on the line to new employees and/or employees moved to their line.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 year of manufacturing experience required.
- Lead experience preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
