About the position

The Aircraft Maintenance position at Frontier Airlines is responsible for performing maintenance activities on aircraft, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations. This role involves providing technical assistance and on-the-job training to A&P mechanics, maintaining safety and cleanliness in maintenance areas, and ensuring accurate documentation of maintenance work. The position plays a crucial role in supporting the airline's commitment to delivering low fares and high-quality service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft maintenance activities according to established policies and procedures and the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to A&P mechanics.
  • Ensure completeness of all assigned work documents and records.
  • Provide leadership and technical support to mechanics.
  • Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas at all times.
  • Ensure a 'clean as you go' job ethic is adhered to.
  • Ensure that all maintenance areas meet good 'housekeeping' standards.
  • Maintain positive tool control accountability and report lost/found tools to management.
  • Research all pertinent information and material for scheduled aircraft work.
  • Input necessary data into maintenance tracking software systems.
  • Audit completed aircraft records and monitor proper completion of aircraft records.
  • Perform Shift Turnover as required per GMM 10.09: Shift Turnover Log.
  • Maintain familiarization with training requirements and ensure training is current before performing functions and tasks.

Requirements

  • FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Four (4) years of experience performing maintenance on A320 series or large similar type aircraft.
  • Ability to complete differences training.
  • Demonstrated behavior that portrays the company core values of Safety, Respect, Trust, Collaboration, Value, and Passion.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and administrate workloads to subordinates.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with maintenance checks, component maintenance, engine changes, landing gear replacement, structural repairs, and flight control rigging.
  • Ability to taxi and run-up qualified on all aircraft types.
