Responsibilities
- Full accounting and general ledger responsibility including preparation of periodic standalone financial statements for one or more projects.
- Full accounting and general ledger responsibility for assigned subject matter areas and the cross-functional dependencies.
- Read, interpret, and summarize project contracts to assure proper compliance and accounting.
- Ensure that monthly, quarterly, year-end, and special project deadlines and requirements are met.
- Hands-on use, data entry and navigation of Pattern's general ledger, and reporting software (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, and Power BI).
- Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements - primarily focused on compilation of footnotes and applicable disclosures.
- Adhere to internal controls.
- Maintain schedules to support tax filing requirements.
- Set-up and maintain the accounting and permanent files for existing and new projects.
- Perform accounting research as needed.
- Communicate with Pattern domestic offices, third parties and within the accounting group to coordinate information gathering and resolve accounting issues.
- Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly forecast updates.
- Special projects as needed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent major required.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
