About the position

The Lead Accounting Coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert in accounting matters, particularly focusing on factory compliance. This role involves conducting compliance audits, identifying cost savings opportunities, and providing input on practices, procedures, and policies within the plant. The position requires collaboration with various departments to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvement to existing plant procedures, policies, and practices to improve compliance
• Conduct factory audits for compliance, identify gaps, and work with various other factory team members to develop and close out action plans
• Navigate and understand various systems to identify challenges with policy and procedure adherence
• Perform health checks using data analysis for month end closing and policy adherence
• Work cross-functionally with key departments to identify cost savings and calculate benefits of identified projects
• Understand the business environment through cross-functional collaboration assisting with identifying waste, month end closing, and forecasting
• Assist in the budget process by working with the Controller and overseeing department budgets
• Complete costing of new materials

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 2+ years of accounting or data analysis experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, military, or related environment
