About the position

The Network Architect position at Wipro Limited involves designing, implementing, and optimizing network solutions, particularly focusing on VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN technology. The role requires extensive experience in network architecture and a strong background in working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The Network Architect will lead technical discussions, provide consulting services, and ensure seamless connectivity and performance for clients' network infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive network architectures and designs leveraging VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN technology to meet client requirements.
• Lead the deployment and configuration of SD-WAN solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing network infrastructure.
• Conduct network assessments and provide recommendations for performance optimization and security enhancements.
• Lead technical discussions and provide expertise on SD-WAN best practices and industry trends.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to SD-WAN deployments.
• Provide ongoing support and optimization for existing solutions.
• Continuously monitor and optimize network performance, identifying and resolving issues to maintain high levels of reliability and efficiency.
• Work closely with clients, MSPs, and internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective network solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including design diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
• Implement and enforce network security best practices to protect client data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to SD-WAN and VMware VeloCloud.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network architecture and design, with a focus on SD-WAN solutions.
• Proficiency in VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN technology.
• Hands-on experience with VMware VeloCloud platform, including design, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, routing (MPLS, BGP, OSPF), and switching.
• Advanced knowledge of HSRP, GLBP, and VRRP protocols.
• Experience with network security principles and practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, VCDX, VCP-NV) are a plus.
• Experience in zero touch provisioning of SD-WAN edge devices.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of network automation and orchestration tools.
• Proven experience working with Managed Service Providers.
