About the position

The Lead Agile Program Manager at CME Group is responsible for overseeing the execution of product and program management within an Agile framework. This role involves managing multiple workstreams across various teams to ensure the delivery of strategic business outcomes. The Lead Agile Program Manager will coach stakeholders on Agile methodologies, facilitate program planning, and drive synchronization across teams to enhance productivity and value delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Steers Program / Product Planning including work plans (backlog and delivery teams' readiness).
  • Works with Product Manager(s)/Owners, Portfolio Operations, and other stakeholders to review Program plans progress against OKRs and capture impediments.
  • Manages risks and dependencies for product delivery; facilitates escalation/resolution of identified dependencies/impediments.
  • Drives synchronization and tracks execution across multiple teams through weekly sync events.
  • Drives Demo & Retrospective events, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborates with Scrum Masters to define and communicate PI and Sprint calendars, configure JIRA boards, and track progress of Portfolio Epics/Features/User stories.
  • Partners with business stakeholders and third parties to identify and clarify gaps in scope and requirements.
  • Ensures projects are appropriately staffed and deliverables are well defined and executed with quality.
  • Establishes outcome-oriented completion and success criteria for each product or program with sponsors.
  • Communicates relevant status on programs to stakeholders, providing a holistic view of progress.
  • Manages change requests and re-evaluates project forecasts as necessary.
  • Analyzes and reports on delivery patterns and variances, leading corrective actions as needed.
  • Leads and influences teams with a global mindset, understanding organizational dynamics and global trends.

Requirements

  • Strong business acumen in at least one of CME's business lines or products.
  • 5+ years of project management and/or relevant industry experience.
