About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to join the Risk Technology Team within Enterprise Functions Technology. This role focuses on defining design patterns for model development and production use, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to develop standards and best practices for large-scale technology solutions, while also leading complex technology initiatives and mentoring peers.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology initiatives with broad companywide impact.
• Develop standards and best practices for engineering complex technology solutions.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs.
• Review and analyze large-scale technology solutions for business objectives and technical challenges.
• Make decisions on engineering and technology solutions based on industry best practices.
• Collaborate with technical experts and external groups to resolve complex issues.
• Lead projects and teams, or serve as a peer mentor.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Python Full Stack Engineering with Cloud Experience.
• 5+ years of experience in building Microservices Applications.
• 1+ years of experience in Generative AI.
• 2+ years of experience in running large scale compute on GPUs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cloud Native Applications.
• Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Professional) Certificate.
• Experience on OpenShift.
• Experience in Spark and Big Data Technologies.
• Reporting tool experience (Dremio, PowerBI).
