About the position

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will play a pivotal role in creating trustworthy and reliable AI systems that transform banking. You will work within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and improve operational efficiency. This position focuses on leveraging advanced AI technologies to deliver scalable solutions that provide significant value to millions of customers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
• Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus at least 4 years of experience in AI and ML algorithms, or Master's degree plus at least 2 years of experience.
• 6 years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting AI services.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
