About the position

The Lead AI Product Manager at PayPal will play a crucial role in shaping the company's AI product initiatives, particularly focusing on personalization capabilities. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in AI technologies, strong business acumen, and leadership skills to drive product strategy and execution. The role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance merchant experiences and ensure the successful deployment of AI-powered products.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI powered products & experiences.
• Work with business unit partners & other cross functional teams to understand customer problems & opportunities.
• Develop AI product roadmaps and timelines, prioritize and rank solutions, and develop project plans.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and machine learning engineers to create robust solutions.
• Ensure AI products adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities.
• Influence cross-functionally across Product, Design, Sales, and Growth to drive alignment on strategy.
• Work closely with GTM on how to bring AI powered products to market and create adoption.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in AI and ML technologies and integrate innovations into the product roadmap.
• Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.

Requirements

• 10+ years of proven experience in product management.
• Track record of creating strategic roadmap and deploying robust AI/ML/Data Science solutions.
• Product management experience in personalization, advertising, feeds and ranking optimization, or AI-driven products.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and technologies.
• Demonstrated success in developing and launching AI-powered products in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred experience working directly with applied and/or research scientists.
• Preferred hands-on experience developing and launching generative AI products or Large Language Models.
