About the position

The Workday HRIS Lead at Martin Marietta Materials is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Workday HCM technology platform. This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert with deep technical expertise in Workday applications, focusing on configuration development, reporting, and process automation. The position involves evaluating HR processes, building new capabilities, and leading initiatives to improve functionality and reporting, while mentoring team members and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Workday HCM technology platform.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Workday applications and modules.
  • Evaluate HR processes and build new capabilities and functionality.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute Workday initiatives provided by leadership.
  • Lead and mentor HR Operations/HRIS team members.
  • Support the Workday technology roadmap and day-to-day initiatives.
  • Deploy configuration changes and manage daily workflow for HR Operations team.
  • Collaborate with IT and Payroll on security roles and integrations.
  • Support Workday technology upgrades and assess impacts of new features.
  • Communicate status and key business information across multiple levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent skills and knowledge required.
  • 7+ years of HRIS technical experience, particularly with Workday.
  • Extensive experience with Workday configurations, business processes, and reporting.
  • 4+ years of experience in the Workday ecosystem, implementing or operating Workday HCM.
  • Strong understanding of Human Resource systems and data flows.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • ERP implementation experience
  • Configuration experience with Financial and HR systems
  • Workday HCM Pro Certification strongly preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in database software
