About the position

The Lead Analyst - Performance & Budgets plays a crucial role in leading financial and operational plan development and analysis for Networks Operations at Avangrid. This position involves consulting with senior leadership to align business goals, enhancing profitability, and ensuring effective decision-making through comprehensive performance management. The analyst will collaborate across various organizational levels to drive efficiencies and support day-to-day financial and operational requirements, while also hosting and presenting company events.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial and operational plan development and analysis for Networks Operations.
• Consult with senior leadership to determine business goals and initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations organization to develop efficiencies and assist with financial and operational requirements.
• Drive performance improvement by defining, approving, and monitoring relevant indicators for the electric business.
• Provide high-level financial assessments on a monthly basis for performance discussions.
• Organize and maintain engagement with forums and meetings for Operations leaders.
• Develop and manage metrics to track Networks Operations performance and identify trends.
• Lead collaborative efforts with Operations Leaders to define strategic KPIs and accountability.
• Schedule and host performance meetings, following up on objectives.
• Develop and monitor the NOE budget for two Lines of Business in Operations.
• Create a framework to review and audit overtime variances and communicate with business leaders.
• Support the team in providing all operations NOE analysis and ensure budgets and deadlines are achieved.
• Attend executive management meetings to present performance reports and insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with 10 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required; proficiency with SAP fundamentals is preferred.
• Knowledge of Networks Operations is valued.
• Experience in formulating business cases is preferred.
