About the position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to establish automated control data sourcing, sampling, loading, and control execution capabilities that drive the automated control program. This role focuses on analytics to support high and inherent risk regulatory analytics tied to major compliance requirements. The consultant will assist in developing and implementing various analytic products, including automated reviews and operational reporting, while leading multiple activities related to business analysis and providing data-driven insights to support high-priority business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics and complex data analysis.
- Provide influence and leadership in identifying new tools and methods to analyze data.
- Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations on all projects managed.
- Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, and operations reviews.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers and senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff and interns.
- Convert manual controls into data-driven solutions that support multiple lines of business.
- Collaborate across people, processes, and technology within a complex data environment.
- Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SAS Viya, SAS Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Complex query writing experience based on multiple data source requirements.
- Understanding of control automation.
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment while staying focused on business objectives.
- Ability to summarize findings and explain in plain language for a broad audience.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple business partners at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with Alteryx.
- Document data elements, mapping and metrics for traceability/lineage and use in reports.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
