About the position

The Lead Analytics Engineer at S&P Global is a pivotal role focused on leading a team of developers in the design and implementation of data integration solutions, primarily using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Alteryx. This position requires a strong technical background in cloud technologies and data analytics, along with the ability to mentor team members and ensure high-quality code and project delivery. The role also involves collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, supporting financial reporting processes, and exploring AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of data integration solutions using IICS and Alteryx.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of code changes made by team members to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and organizational policies.
  • Provide critical support for month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new projects and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using IICS and utilize Alteryx for data preparation and advanced analytics.
  • Leverage experience with Oracle and AWS to architect and deploy solutions in cloud environments.
  • Oversee database security measures and work closely with the DBA to define roles and responsibilities related to the Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
  • Actively participate in Agile events to foster continuous improvement and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and systems to facilitate knowledge transfer and compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Stay informed about advancements in AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLM) and contribute to the exploration of AI-driven solutions.
  • Lead major projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in IT, with at least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in IICS.
  • Proven experience in leading major projects in a development capacity within a financial organization.
  • Strong background in Alteryx, with the ability to create complex workflows and perform advanced analytics.
  • Experience with Oracle and AWS technologies, including database management and cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and frameworks; experience implementing AI-driven solutions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in IICS, Alteryx, Oracle, AWS, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
