About the position

The Lead Angular Developer will play a pivotal role in leading the Software Engineering incident management process within a dynamic Agile Sprint team environment. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in front-end development, particularly with Angular 12+ and the broader JavaScript ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting software maintenance and new development requests, adhering to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) approach. This role is not just about coding; it involves significant leadership responsibilities, including overseeing a large team of developers and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members. In this leadership capacity, the Lead Angular Developer will engage in heavy JavaScript troubleshooting, providing day-to-day support to developers while also focusing on improvements, upgrades, and automation of processes. The role will also involve overseeing migrations and optimizing test suites to enhance overall software quality and performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate a genuine eagerness to assist others, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This position is situated within the Preferred Vendors department and is a contract role, emphasizing the need for a candidate who can quickly adapt and deliver results in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Software Engineering incident management process.
  • Provide support for software maintenance and new development requests through Agile Sprint team methodology.
  • Engage in heavy JavaScript troubleshooting and support developers on a day-to-day basis.
  • Implement improvements, upgrades, and automation processes.
  • Oversee migrations and optimize test suites.
  • Communicate effectively with a large team of developers, ensuring collaboration and support.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience with Nx & NgRx.
  • 10-15 years of front-end development experience.
  • Expertise in Angular 12+, Typescript, and Angular/JavaScript development services.
  • Experience with Jenkins Groovy DevOps and Monorepo Support Services.
  • Ability to work on Jenkins Groovy pipelines and implement improvements.
  • Strong experience in the JavaScript ecosystem, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, and npm tooling.
